Joe Waters teaches nonprofits and businesses how to use cause marketing and social media to establish, grow and deepen relationships with stakeholders.

Joe blogs at the web’s #1 cause marketing blog, Selfishgiving.com. He’s the co-author of Cause Marketing for Dummies, which in its first week of release topped Amazon’s list of top 100 nonprofit titles.

Most recently, Joe was director of cause marketing for a Boston hospital where he led a team of marketing, sales and event professionals for seven years. Together, they developed cause marketing programs that raised millions of dollars for New England’s largest safety-net hospital.

He’s worked with many local and national companies, including Pepsi, Valvoline Instant Oil Change, Borders Books, Staples, Zipcar, Fuddruckers, Virgin America and The Boston Bruins.

Joe’s a contributor to The Huffington Post and The Chronicle of Philanthropy. His latest article Cause Marketing: Is it Time to Take the Plunge? appeared in the fall issue of Healthcare Philanthropy.
